The Day I Announced a Mini-Series Project

Happy Christmas all! (Or Happy “Everything is Closed!” Day to anyone not celebrating Christmas.)

I made a brief post yesterday, commenting on my own in-activity, but wanted to share with you all a project I’ve been brainstorming and working on.

A few years ago, I had a project called Got Brainz? on tumblr. It was a mini-series following a teenage girl in the throes of the zombie apocalypse. As much as I enjoyed writing it, and despite it’s great reception with a handful of people, I let it dwindle and die, eventually writing a pseudo-ending that left the fate of the antagonist open for a continuation if I ever decided to return to it.

Unfortunately, I’m not entire up for competing with the Walking Dead in terms of zombie fanaticism. Right around the time I was posting for Got Brainz, zombies were rising up in the entertainment world like never before, and much like with the Twilight fanfare, I knew it would be daunting for many reasons, the least of which were the overlap in plot that was sure to occur and the major let-down of people comparing unrelated works.

So, instead, I’ve begun working on a fiction piece tentatively named “The Gal Pal.” Look for the info page popping up in the next week or so, and I’m hoping to have a few chapters scheduled out through January.
